New to Business?

Ladies That Do Networking - About UsIt can be daunting starting your own business, or even merely considering starting a business, and not knowing the full extent of all the things you need for your business to be successful.

Spending a few hours out at a lunch with other businesswomen might seem to be low on the list of priorities, especially when there are so many other things to take into consideration and spend your time doing. However, the reach of a well-connected networking group cannot be underestimated. It is word-of-mouth in the hands of experienced businesswomen who know that by uplifting another woman in business can only reflect well on their own business. Networking does not necessarily work straight away, it is an accumulative effect over several meetings, allowing the members to get to know, like, and trust you. Attending a meeting here and there with no real commitment can actually be more damaging to your business than helpful, as you are seen to be unreliable or flighty. Make a commitment to attend a group regularly and see what connections and business you make from it.

Benefits from attending Networking

Benefits from attending networking as a new or prospective businesswoman can help you in many more ways than just word-of-mouth. Being in business can potentially be lonely, and meeting with women who are in similar positions can lend physical and emotional support. You are also in a room full of experts who may be able to help you set up and run your own business. Some of those experts may be able to help you with personal problems too. In Ladies That Do Networking we have women representing a diverse range of specialties, from Solicitors to Mental Health, from Physical Health to Gifts, from Mortgages to Undertaking, and experts in tools for your business such as Web Design, Insurance, Accountancy and Social Media Management, with hundreds of years of business experience between us. Being a member of the group doesn’t mean you need to do business with the members right away, or at all if you don’t need help in any of the areas represented. The emotional support given by the members is entirely free of obligation, and your help is returned in the same nature.

You can attend your first meeting without the hard sell to become a member, giving you peace of mind that it is not a foregone conclusion that you join just because you want to see what we are all about.

Ladies That Do Networking

Ladies That Do Networking meets on the first Thursday of every month, at The Railway in Hinckley, from 12pm to 2pm. Send a message via the Facebook page if you would like to book a visitor’s seat and to check if your business would clash with a current member, as we operate a one seat policy. Visitor seats are limited and often sell out a few months ahead of time, so please do get in touch as soon as you can.

Ladies That Do Networking has been established for over 12 years in Hinckley and has grown in size and survived lockdowns to continue to provide support to each of its members. It has recently been taken over by three long standing members, Kelly Allen, Kelly Mayne, and Chloe Clark, and it is our hope that you can see our dedication and commitment to the group through our online presence and when you attend the group for your first visit.

If you’re not sure about visiting, or have questions about what it is like, please do message us through the Facebook page or via the contact form on the website.
We hope to see you soon.

Kelly, Kelly, and Chloe,
Ladies That Do Networking
